Educationsense Camp - Workshops, group talks, home education merchandise, and a lot of friends having fun!
The idea of the virtual Camp was that a member of your family checked to see what we were up to each day, and then you worked out something similar you could do together at home. Each day, I suggested some adapted activities you might want to try out with your family and friends. If you see something you like now, why not give it a go!

Thursday

10am-1pm
At the Camp: Home Education Discussion
At Home: What does home education mean to you?  Do you need any support?  Could you support others?  Take time today to explore all the issues with your family once again.
11am-1pm

At the Camp: Swallows and Amazons with Annie
At Home: Will you be a pirate, a native or the Royal Navy?  Make some boats and see if they will float on your local pond...
2-4pm

At the Camp: Craft Activities with Jenna
At Home: Jenna will be making "Spoon Puppets".  There is a wealth of things to make on the Internet.  You could look for something with a search engine, or come up with your own ideas from scratch.
4pm

At the Camp: Closing Circle
At Home: I hope you had fun following our virtual Camp; we'd love to see you with us at the real camp next time.
Morse Code

Virtual Telegrams sent from those at home, to the campers in Magicland.

Post box

The attendees were able to send virtual Postcards from the real Camp to those joining us on the website from home.  Did they Wish You Were Here, or Wish They Were With You?!!

Newspaper

Sit down with a cup of herbal tea and read Thursday's edition of The Magicland Gazette, our Camp newsletter.  It may be old news, but it's no fish and chips wrapper! Friday's edition, issued the day after the camp ended, is also available.

Isabel
Take a look at the pictures in The Gallery.  Nearly all of them were taken by the younger members of our community.

Comment of the Day
Actually, this is probably the Comment of the Week as it was repeated by a certain little girl every day.  When all the workshops were in progress, when music was being played, when people became too absorbed in deep conversation, Pagyn brought everyone back down to earth by letting them know that the best things in life are free (chuckle):

"Boobie!  Boobie!"
