Dozens Rejoice By Candlelight
"We don't go to school," say denizens.

Last night, after dark, dozens of jolly folk turned out with their homemade lanterns to march around the site near Canehenge and then into the nearby neighbourhood.  Bewildered onlookers left their residences to witness the merry home educating denizens invading their territory.

Lively Chant

Singing out the words "We don't go to school", the lively crowd moved around in the dark with multicoloured lanterns and various musical instruments.  The grand jolly ended at Canehenge and then the impressive performance was reviewed and applauded.  Next, everyone went into the Café for a party.  One startled hippy laughingly intimated, "You're a bunch of militants!"

Birthday Girl

Whilst attempting to mind her own business, it was pointed out to Sam that it was her birthday, and thus she was required to blow out some candles

and make a wish.  This coincided with a synchronised pancake flip carefully carried out by Buffy.  Maple syrup, and sugar and lemon juice were probably the most well-loved of toppings, although someone with an American accent was definitely heard asking for butter.  This created an epidemic of pancake eaters with a sudden inclination towards a more buttery dessert.

Snuffly Organiser

Earlier in the day, the organiser popped off for a 'nature break' only to receive a radio call to attend a meeting at Canehenge right away.  Slightly inconvenienced, she made her way to the crowded circle and was set upon by jolly youngsters wanting to express their approval by presenting her with a book they had made, and by reciting a quirky poem they had written together.  The organiser continues to maintain that she had something in her eye, but suspects that someone clever might know otherwise...

Weird Flubber

Multicoloured gunky stuff was seen to be made in the science workshop yesterday afternoon, as June stirred up a storm by letting the children make their own rubbery stuff.

Every winking child was able to select their own colour to mix with the nude Flubber, and the stretchy mix soon removed the tie dye colours from mucky hands, plus the indelible pen marks from the unsuspecting whiteboard.

No one could deny what fun they were having, although some were disappointed when the Flubber fell on the spot were glitter had been split the night before.  This reduced the handling pleasure factor, although it was still visually appealing.  Yellow pots of rubberly jubberly Flubber could be seen all over the camp, and many older denizens were also seen to be hurriedly making Flubber before the ingredients were taken away.
