The Educationsense Gathering 2002 Gallery - See who did what and where!
Canehenge  Unlikely to have been discovered at the site by archaeologists, Canehenge was constructed by people of a bygone era, using 8' bamboo canes, and a lot of string and ribbons.

"No, it's not a climbing frame, actually!"  June and company give us a demonstration of how one man can put up a trailer tent on his own after all.

Not one to do without her luxuries, June trailer tent has bedroom, a kitchen (yes, even a sink) and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a garden round the back as well!
Going Home  Isabel dodges crazy people pushing a wheelchair in an attempt to find her way back to the yurt...

My House  This is where we held Story Time, and of course, where my family slept! Lizzie's eldest children used to turn up early in the morning to wake us up with some interesting expressions at the windows!
More People Arriving  To the left is the bus where Chris and Lyn live with their family on a permanent basis.  Chris has completely converted the interior to provide an excellent home for the four of them.  In front, they set up a toddler tent full of toys, books and games, and the green canvas shelter ended up shielding us from the sun rather than any rain.  The bus and yurt marked the perimeter of the healing area.

The Sacred Garden  The focal point of the healing area, this is where people came to take a break and unwind, or to continue that chilled out feeling after Reiki, aromatherapy or counselling. This was also where the Handfasting took place.
A Pony Under The Willow Trees  There were several ponies onsite, and we felt compelled to pat them a lot. As far as the willow trees were concerned, I was very surprised, not to mention a little relieved, when we got to the end of the week without everyone wearing wreaths on their heads!

The Main Marquee  This is where all the workshops and evening entertainment happened.  Not to forget, of course, the fantastic Magic Hat Café!  The café ended up being the life and soul of the camp, not because the kitchen is always the best place to be at a party, but because practically everyone onsite did something towards making a meal, whether it was to fetch shopping from the supermarket, food preparation, cooking, washing up, or simply entertaining the chef!
"That's Lovely, Dear..."  Buffy and family chill out in the warm sun! We didn't have a drop of rain all week!

Beware The Shadow  Just about all the pictures in the Gallery have been taken by children who borrowed my digital camera for a few hours. I'm extremely pleased with the results. Well done, everyone!
